I have a Version 1 V22 action in a KRG Bravo stock. I would like a new bull barrel to be added. I am getting a little better informed about chambering reamers and such. I will be shooting of the bench at 50 yards. I would appreciate some advice on this project.
First question: Barrel length, I see many rifles at 20 or 24" length. What should I be considering? Is longer better like centerfire?
Second question: Chambers. I looked at the PTG website (as an example) and see like a dozen different reamer sizes. Then I read about the Nevis size reamer. I don't know which brand of ammo I will use (Eley or Lapua). Is there a set of chamber dimensions that would be a proven formula. I am sure there are variations that various shooters & Gunsmiths use. I would like some guidance if thats possible.
1.5 or 2.0 degree leade
