LOL Venom? This has been a pretty calm thread. Just people don’t agree with you and no one has seen these exploding brakes. As you said we can exercise our right to disagree with you too.
Do want the guys name that had one blow up ?? what do you know about bench rest and how close you are and how it is different than what you do? jim
Don’t need any names. I am sure it has happened but you guys talk about it like it’s a daily occurrence. It’s not and not even close to being. It’s very rare.
And yes I know how benches are set up. I have been to ranges which have BR matches and I know their distances apart. I have laid on a firing line bumping shoulders with people shooting at matches so please don’t act like you guys have some special distance. You might want to look into what we do too.
If you laid on the firing line and bumped shoulders? what ever disapline it was F class or XTC they don't use brakes and those target are on about 12' centers as is the firing line .... jim
This thread is teaching me one thing. Never shoot BR.
Again it’s PRS and brakes are allowed.
This thread is teaching me one thing. Never shoot BR.
It may not be your thing. Most people cringe at the thought of how much work goes into shooting a 3" group at 1000 yards with any sort of regularity. Or what it takes to agg 0.1" at 100yards across a match, much less a whole season. Hopefully, you might be able to sympathize though that someone trying to achieve that level of accuracy, over and over again, would get a little upset when the braked (non-competitive) rifle next to them is knocking their gun around during a sanctioned match because 1 shot going out 0.25" on a single target can ruin the agg and wreck their chance at a record.
You need equipment capable of that accuracy, most don't. it takes a lot of work, so most pick a less accurate discipline ..... jim
LOL all I have to say to that load.
Really, I watched the PRS. guys come to a BR match and all they talk about is how much they have in their guns and who among them was going to win. At the end of the day they were gone with nothing.... jim
what about using a 30 cal break on a 6mm..
does it work as well as using a 6mm break on a 6mm
As they should as the rifles are not set up for BR. Just like if you went to a PRS match and you would go away with nothing.
The problem is that this was a simple thread and easy to answer and you BR guys came in with stories of exploding brakes and crying about having to shoot next to them. Nothing to do with the question at hand.
Oh and the load was that we chose the sport other than BR because we can't measure up. I know for me it has nothing to do with that. I like a sport that has some action in it and not just sitting at a bench. People choose sports for their own reason but your arrogant attitude definitely strengthens all the reports of what BR guys are like.
Your right about one thing it is the pinnacle of accuracy... and yes we don't run around and pretend we are something we are not...... jim
Who is pretending to be something they aren’t? It’s an action shooting sport. Again you have no idea if what you speak but keep doing it and showing your ignorance and arrogance.
The older some get the more insulting they are.
