Savage build, ershaw 1/14tw ss bb, 1/4 in bbl lugl, Boyd thumbhole stock, savage basix trigger at 2lbs, 50g vmax in front of h335, 3300ish fps. Nikon 4-16x50 scope, darn thing just keeps on shooting small holes. Pretty simple varmint rig I put together.Good shooting. Spec's on rifle, bullet, etc.....
The barrel on this rig has over 15k rounds through it, prints sub moa at 100yds still. ALL my varmint bullets are moly coated which I do. I keep dedicated records for all rounds shot for each gun I own. I list how many rounds shot on each date, that way I can say look at my records if you want to see proof.5sp-How many barrels=9000rds/![]()
Correct, my barrel wrap is kept wet to draw out heat and it works great, my load is accurate but not going afterburner fast.5spd keeps his barrel cool with a chamois and water thus the outstanding barrel life, plus he has found good loads that don't push the envelope too much with a powder that doesn't leave too much trash in the bore. Is that a fair statement of your approach, 5spd?
