55g Varmageddons do the same at 520 yds, just puts a hole in 'em and they fall over. LOL

Savage build, ershaw 1/14tw ss bb, 1/4 in bbl lugl, Boyd thumbhole stock, savage basix trigger at 2lbs, 50g vmax in front of h335, 3300ish fps. Nikon 4-16x50 scope, darn thing just keeps on shooting small holes. Pretty simple varmint rig I put together.

The barrel on this rig has over 15k rounds through it, prints sub moa at 100yds still. ALL my varmint bullets are moly coated which I do. I keep dedicated records for all rounds shot for each gun I own. I list how many rounds shot on each date, that way I can say look at my records if you want to see proof.
Yes it has alligator skin in the throat, neck wear, but as long as it keeps going its staying put. I do have 3 new barrels for back up when it dies finally dies.

I have a 223 Kreiger space gun that has to have 6k through it. Still shoots sub half minute no problem.

223 is easy on barrels.

Only you could do that on prairie dogs. Most of us could not do that in a lifetime unless we are shooting target.

5spd keeps his barrel cool with a chamois and water thus the outstanding barrel life, plus he has found good loads that don't push the envelope too much with a powder that doesn't leave too much trash in the bore. Is that a fair statement of your approach, 5spd?

H335 is very, very easy on barrels....223, AI, 6br, 6 BRX.. AA2230 is also!

Correct, my barrel wrap is kept wet to draw out heat and it works great, my load is accurate but not going afterburner fast.
