Well, perhaps it's just a SWAG. But if you consider that the FBI processed nearly two and a half million "firearm" background checks in the month of November 2015 alone, and if you assume that all will want to purchase ammunition and perhaps 1% of those will reload, the impact of that demand on your ammo during 2016 could generate a bit of consternation among our fraternity of shooters.
Let's be sure to do some meaningful analysis of any shortages before we place the blame in the wrong place.

Don't forget the CCW holders. Unsure of all states but here in MT if you have a CCW no NIC's check reqd. There could be MANY more purchases that the 2.5 Mil noted.

Who knows how many were truly sold. I am sure there were a ton of face to face sales. I would like to know how many are buying their first firearm.

Wow! I guess they'll be a lot of guns under the Xmas tree!.😇 More likely the affects of the San Bernardino attack. I should thank this forum for getting me interested in some of the "exotic" calibers. I don't think there will be a mad rush on 6br or Dasher. I am stocking up on powder and primers, though. Who knows what will happen when Hillary gets into office.
