OK, so I know it's warranted for life. I have had this rifle for 17 years. Great rifle, until the barrel wore out (blowing powder smoke past the case, into the action). Called Henry and they said it was warranted for life... Wonderful!
I sent it in for repairs, and got it back a month later. (no charge)
Bunch of parts replaced. Now this was a rifle that at 50 yards could almost put 5 rounds in one hole.
Tried sighting it in. I was lucky if I got a 4 inch group. WHAT HAPPENED !!!
I have a Lyman bore scope and scoped the barrel. I have never seen a barrel like this. I do competition shooting, so I know what a good barrel should look like.
In the pictures attached to this thread, that is the land/groove going L-R. What the diagonal one is ???
I called Henry again, got an authorization to send it back. I even enclosed pictures, taken with the bore scope.
A month later I get the rifle back with a notice "no problem found" !!
So my question to the "wisdom of the crowd" What do I do next ?
Thanks for any advice
Gina
