Problems with a Henry 22 rifle

OK, so I know it's warranted for life. I have had this rifle for 17 years. Great rifle, until the barrel wore out (blowing powder smoke past the case, into the action). Called Henry and they said it was warranted for life... Wonderful!
I sent it in for repairs, and got it back a month later. (no charge) :) Bunch of parts replaced. Now this was a rifle that at 50 yards could almost put 5 rounds in one hole.
Tried sighting it in. I was lucky if I got a 4 inch group. WHAT HAPPENED !!!
I have a Lyman bore scope and scoped the barrel. I have never seen a barrel like this. I do competition shooting, so I know what a good barrel should look like.
In the pictures attached to this thread, that is the land/groove going L-R. What the diagonal one is ???
I called Henry again, got an authorization to send it back. I even enclosed pictures, taken with the bore scope.
A month later I get the rifle back with a notice "no problem found" !!
So my question to the "wisdom of the crowd" What do I do next ?
Thanks for any advice
Gina

What works for me, you go straight to the top, ask for the CEO. You may not get him or you might, but I'll bet you get some one who wants to make you happy with disturbing the CEO.

Looks like a land spiraling in the opposite direction ... r-l instead of l-r.

????? How they do that?

Those marks make no sense to me. Where are they in the barrel? Near the chamber?
Starts about 6 inch's from the chamber all the way up to the muzzle.
For Xmas got a Hawkeye bore scope, it really shows the bad. Tool marks like I've never seen. Random gouges though out the entire barrel, in the lands and grooves.
This was suppose to be a new barrel, looks like it came off the reject pile

I got nothing.
I have had a couple of 22's. I have a first year production 10/22. I won't even take a stab at how many rounds it could have through it.
To get one that blows gas back past the chamber, maybe I have just not shot as much as I thought.

I have not warmed up to the Henry's myself.

Well tried this one..:oops:. Will move on to Dan@henryusa.com

It looks like drill marks to me. As if they drilled the bore and the drill wandered and never ran a Reamer through it before they ran the rifling button through it.

I bought my daughter one of their youth bolt rifles for her 10th birthday. The barrel was dirty from the factory test firing, after cleaning it you could sight down the bore and see some nasty chatter with the naked eye.

I emailed them and they sent a prepaid shipping label, about 2 weeks later I received a new replacement and it had the same chatter. I emailed again and was told that there may be some machining marks visible but if I had any issues with its function or accuracy to let them know. Thats a pretty crap attitude to have toward your product, it was a youth rifle but was still $200. It shoots well enough off hand and its not the type rifle I'll be testing groups at 50-100 yards. My first and last Henry purchase.

A certified letter is a waste of time & money as the letter does NOT have to be signed for.
A couple attempts to deliver & the letter will be returned to sender.

Run that POS Henry through a chop saw cut into 3" sections & send it back w/ a note telling the CEO to pack it where the sun does not shine & that it is the first & last Henry product that you will ever own.

Update...
Just sent the rifle back to Henry yesterday. Was on the phone with the service manager last week. His offer (1) replace the barrel (2) replace the rifle. Considering the rifle is 17 years old, 1,000's of rounds through it, and it's been run through barb wire fences, and blackberry brambles... I chose door #2.
Replacement should be here in a couple of weeks, as it was shipped UPS ground. West coast to East coast and back again. They paid for the shipping. (pre-printed label).
So they do stand behind their ads. But in this case I had to shake the tree a bit.
Once I get the replacement, I'll take a look at it with the hawkeye, and let you know how the barrel looks.
Thank you all for your advice.
