Priming tool

I have RCBS, Lee and Sinclair. Of the three the Sinclair has by far the best feel. The only down side is that it does not have a feed tray so you must insert primers one at a time.

Just changed to the Frankford Arsenal priming tool. I had the Lee primer tool and trays for years ...finally realized I wanted more control over seating depth. The F.A. is depth adjustable, has a solid feeling to it, and seems that it is one of the best priming tools for my need. Comes with all the shell holders, that's worth $36.00 at least . Can't say it's the best for you, but do some research on it...rsbhunter

Only problem with the Lee's is that you can't get parts, except from fleabay...and their REAL proud of them....doo your research first, read reviews....buy modern tools...rsbhunter

This was discussed not long ago look for my post in that thread I gave a rather descriptive example of my favorite the Frankford arsenal priming tool it is all metal very durable comes with all the shell holders which in other models you have to buy separately it’s easy to use if you try a different one you need your head examined

What hand priming tool are you using?
I have used Lee since the first release with the screw in shellholders. Generally happy with them, even when every one was breaking handles. Progressed though most of the model updates to the Ergo model. The first handle installed maybe 40K primers the top broke off. I had occasionally broken the small primer plastic feed/block. Got a new handle, and now every time I encounter a tight primer pocket, the plastic feed/block breaks. Have had Lee replace probably 20, end of my experience with Lee.

Went with the Sinclair tool. Big improvement, but un-necessarily complicated with all the shims. Then I got a 21'st Century super precision. If you want a quality tool and don't mind crying once, go 21'st Century.

After wearing out* several RCBS (90's version) priming tools, I purchased a Sinclair priming tool about 20 years ago.

I've load several thousand rounds with the Sinclair tool without any problems. It's very well made, durable, and works flawlessly. Granted you have to load each primer but at least for me, it's worth it. It's the last priming tool you'll have to buy.

* Fatigue cracks developed in the handles and they broke.

I just received a PMA priming tool and really like it. Small, adjustable and quality made and comes with a shell
holder of you choice. Pat makes great products for our sport.

i bought a Frankford Arsenal last year and am very pleased with it. You can easily adjust the seating depth and is very sturdy for my needs.
