Price of fuel drives the nails in the coffin

Ditto. I drove from Detroit, MI to Tullahoma, TN last weekend. Left Sunday at 530am, drove 687 miles and day, hotel Sunday night, shot in the rain on Monday morning, then drove the 687 miles home. Just to shoot a 3x1000. I met some great guys, but my girlfriend and others I know think I should have my head checked….some days I think I should as well, lol.

Did You Win any Relays? That’s what I don’t like about the 1,000 yard format. All that effort, win your relay, or your done.

I have been on a fixed income since 10/8/1997.
My trip to the range is 34 miles and according to the computer in my new truck I am getting almost 20mpg, so rounding off to the high side let's say 2 gallons of gas or about $2. It cost me more for the bullets than it does for the gas, so I think I'll just keep going after all $2 isn't going to make or break the bank.

That's either interesting arithmetic or gas is $1/gallon where you live.

Very lucky where I live. We can drive east, west north or south and are within 2.5 hours of 5 places to shoot F class matches.

Come November, he'll be a lame duck
He was lame long before that LOL
And heck I'm Canadian... No offence please.

But at this point I'd rather have sleepy Joe than Trudolf.

Too bad Putin stole the news just as the truckers are about to roll into DC.... He gave corrupt mainstream media something to cover besides civil unrest.

Kinda makes a guy wonder if Joe didn't give Putin the wink... Blow up all that evidence about Hunter (Rembrant) Biden and distract the news away from trucker protest. Silver linings huh.

Because the refineries are right there
We have refineries near Erie, and the closer you drive
to them the prices get higher. Fuel that gets trucked up
from Pittsburgh is cheaper then what they pay for it in
Pittsburgh ?? Go figure. Cheapest fuel I have ever found
traveling across the states is in Oklahoma. Our fuel in Pa.
would be cheaper then most but our fuel tax is one of the
highest in the nation. and thus....."Taxylvania"

Why not carpool? It's a lot more fun to drive long distances with your buddies anyway. When we hunted in N. Fla. we always carpooled to make the 7 hour drive tolerable. Even if you only find one other guy to go you will have lowered your costs by 50%.

In 2019 I was new car shopping and was going to pay cash... What I wanted was another 4x4 but you know what in the back of my mind I know trump won't be president forever and I don't sell cars , I drive the wheels off them and normally give it to a junk yard in the end... I like Toyota and while looking at trucks I said you know what NO.... I ended up driving off in a new Toyota Corolla my wife has bought 5 with absolutely zero problems.... Glad I did now , 33 mpg at 75 mph with the A/C on destroy and I save $15,000 not buying a new truck.... I will just keep on keeping on with my 2008 Chevy Colorado till it meets it's fate... Biden should be done in a few more years and probably be knee capped in 2022 so even this crap won't last forever....

On 3/3 local Cumberland Farm was $3.599 at 7 am, at 10:00 am it was 3.699, at 2:00 pm 3.799 at 7:00 am this morning 3/4 it is $3.899.
24 hours 30 cent per gallon increase and that is without refilling their tanks, they are raising prices on gas that is bought at a lower margin, and it looks like it is going on all across the country.
