Pretty Stocks

Yep the solid glass ones are about 10 pounds. The picture I posted was a foam fill. Not the same stock. Solid glass ones usually got steel rudders and butt plates. I got a lot of stocks without gelcoats

I’ve seen a few posts with pictures of really beautiful custom stocks. I’m not sure if they’re real wood, or look alike synthetic, it doesn’t really matter. I’ve searched the forum, but I guess I’m not using the correct keywords. If anyone has suggestions as to a source of cosmetically beautiful, traditional looking stocks, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!
Lol. One word….BC’Z

Unfortunately some photos have disappeared over the years. You will find a few sources recommended in the thread.

The three dimensional look is just incredible. I thought it was so nice I snapped a picture of it on my phone and will keep it on file for when the conversation comes up with somebody about beautiful pieces of wood.

Those flames remind me of a famous pinstripe and airbrush artist in the Detroit area named Dr. Ru. Guy was a true wizard with the pin striping brush. 100% freehand
Those particular flames were done using a low tac template and a airbrush, pinstripes were done freehand by my buddy Jason at Sucka Punch.

Von Dutch stripes. They were done by Kurt Silva out of Bend Oregon.20200131_135627.jpg
