There's nothing more beau T full than a nicely grained wood stock. However, they increase anxiety when in use.

I have a chunk of bubinga that was part of a tannery vat. The guy I got it from said it was the hardest stuff he had ever work with. At best, my piece would make a slender sporter style stock for a 22RF.
Dan and a couple friends made a complete carriage for a CW mountain howitzer. It was finished with thinned linseed oil and absolutely glows in the sun.

Here's the rosewood burl live edge with epoxy fill, with curly rosewood.
I'm thinking brown, copper and vintage amber on this should set it on fire.

That was the first foam fill LRB, more like 3.5 pounds. But there were others without gelcoat.
