Hey everyone, I have a redding big boss ll and it is a beast of a press guys and there's no cons for sure period this press is solid ,tight ram to frame , and you can easily resize even the big mag casingsThinking about getting a new single stage press. I currently have a Redding Boss, it does everything extremely well, including spitting expended primers all over my basement. I've pretty well narrowed my new selections to Redding T-7, Redding Big Boss II and the new RCBS Rebel. Some reviews on the Reddings claim that expended primers go out through the hollow ram and are expended out the bottom of the hollow ram. Other reviews I've read say that is only partially true, saying that they are expended through a tube attached to the ram an some/many of the primers still end up being scattered about. The one review I've been able to find on the new RCBS press says expended primers are expended out the bottom of the ram into a vessel below. Any opinions about any of the selections I've mentioned from the members will be greatly appreciated, thanks to all that reply.
Hey it's always nice to go back to an old thread.... The op may not see it but everyone else interested learns something new... If I wasn't bored I wouldn't be here now...lol.... When old primers hit the floor my wife's vacuum gets put to a loud test....Dang it! Why do I always get tricked into replying to a 3 year old thread where the OP has probably bought all kinds of new gear since then!
I picked up a short handle for the cost to ship it to me and it works great! The Forster COAX does it all, but especially no decapped primers on the floor. Yes, it is expensive, Yes, you need to use Forster die locking rings, yes it is a bit awkward because the handle travel is significant. But it is a dream to use, easy, accurate and smooth. Set the dies up once and you are done.

I made one that is about 5" long and has an offset "roller" handle on it. It is far easier to use than the ball.I picked up a short handle for the cost to ship it to me and it works great!
