Prayer Request

I remember one time Nick was having a pretty good conversation here about one of his rifle sessions at the range or something, he stated he had to stop posting for a little bit because he had to take some meatballs out of the oven. That tickled this Texas guy that doesn’t see Italian food very often.:)

Thoughts and prayers for your dad and your family. I’ve been in the same situation and it’s tough on everyone, especially when you can do anything to help them.

One day it will be my turn, so i always think about what would make me feel better if i was in that situation.
You tell Nick if he doesnt get it together, the guys at the forum are going to buy his gun collection. ( its really what he would want)
That should scare him straight out of bed. .hahahahaha..oh was that to much
Laughter is always good medicine.

My prayers are with you and your family my friend.

Sadly, that decision has already been made. When he realized he had dementia, he told me to gather all of his guns and get them out of the house. Since then, he has had me give some to my siblings and gifted me a couple.

I am expected to sell the rest of the rifles and gear, with the proceeds going to my step-mother.

Slowly, I have been sorting and organizing his things so they can be listed. It is overwhelming at times because he had so much of everything. Found new homes for a couple of the rifles and some gear already, just been too busy lately to do much with it. I will be sure to post the remaining rifles here when I get the packages together. Planning of listing the rifles, dies, brass, etc,... as package deals.

Dad is still refusing to eat much which makes him too weak to do physical therapy. I see no indications that he will ever be going home, again. Still, I am hoping he finds motivation to do what he needs to do.

We are currently searching for an acceptable facility for his long-term care.

Prayers are greatly appreciated by the entire family.
