I usually don’t respond to these type posts because by the time I see them all the responders have pretty much said what I would say. For some reason I felt compelled to respond to this one. Sounds like Bud was God’s gift to you. Be joyful that He put Bud in your life. This is a time of both joy and sadness. Joy that he will no longer feel pain or sadness. Sadness for you that there will be a hole hard to fill. Grieving is difficult and will take time. Try to let Jesus fill that hole in the meantime.

Prayers sent for your friend. I enjoyed reading your story. It reminded me of a World War II vet friend of mine that just passed away in April at 97. These men and women of the greatest generation have blessed us in so many ways. Those of us lucky to of known these people should count ourselves as blessed and fortunate to have known them.
