Gday German,
Well that light color is just the raw laminate and it's the day the rifle arrived from the gunsmith. It has a clear black finish and is a little darker than the rifle a couple of pictures above posted by mikecockcroft. I would post a pic but the computer does not want to upload it for some reason.

The wood is nothing fancy, just sheets of pine I believe.

Here's a Wildcat Camo from Richards Micro-Fit for a Savage. Automitive clear coat. Tough as nails.

Heres my Richards Tactical stock in their "black widow" color. Gun is a Savage 112 action with a McGowen 308 barrel:

Note that the color will darken significantly. I was stunned when I got mine and it looked pink. The finish is just 7 coats of Tru-Oil.
