Peterson Brass 30BR

I doubt Peterson would consider making 45-110 or 45 basic.. But No one is making it any more....! That is the only reason I have not bought one..45-110 is difficult to find but if some one made 45-120 or 45 basic it could be trimmed to make the shorter cases..

Love Peterson brass, if one of my rifles is chambered for one of your offerings that’s the brass it gets fed, I like it that much. I don’t have a 30BR but I’d probably have one made so I could join the fun. Reading through this thread makes it look like you have some the best competition shooters chomping at the bit. I hope you try it!

That is old stock as I understand when it is gone there may not be any more. Bell is out of business... My neighbor is calling them everyday ordering a box for his rifle. They will only sell one box per-day. When he is done buying it I am going to see how much they have left. I won't buy a rifle where brass is that problematic.

I'd say yes, just based off of the 8-10 shooters at local matches that are shooting 30br.

But with your 7mmBR case available, i'm sitting here scratching my head wondering WHY are people necking up 6mm BR cases??
I wish I had known at the time I ordered the 6BR brass that 7BR was available.
A single pass with the expander instead of 2 would have made the process much easier.

I'm buying the Peterson 7mm BR brass now and I know of at least 3 guys in our club that would love to have easy access to 30BR brass!
Check the case length on the 7mmRem BR brass. It is shorter then the 30BR specs by 0.040".
I found all of the cases I purchase even shorter then the 1.520" spec. All said and done when I expanded their 7MM BR case and bumped the shoulder to my chamber specs the case was 0.043" short. Stopped there and sold the other untouched brass.
Hopefully the promised 30BR brass will appear SOON!

I guess most miss that and keep buying it

I'm not buying it to make 30BR, I'm buying for a 7mm BR.

That depends on your reamer as my trim length is 1.500.

@wang243 I'm trying to understand what your saying as far as actual length of the case after expanding and bumping the shoulder.
Was it .043 short of your chamber length or short .043 from the 1.520 length ?
It may be a case where you might want to firm using Bullseye and a dedicated fireform barrel rather that expanding and fireforming with a bullet.
I was just getting ready to order some 7BR brass to try but not if it won't work.

20ppc, My trim length for my 30BR chamber is 1.520" and the case length that I ended up with after all the prep was 1.489", and that was one of the longer cases I found in the 50. I didn't think that the case would grow 30 thou even with their softer necks.
If you check the specs for both you will see the 7mm is shorter then the 30BR.
Hope this clears ups your concerns.

Wang243 thank you for clearing that up.
My chamber is the same as yours at 1.520 so it looks like I will end up passing on their 7BR brass.
If Peterson comes through on the 30 BR brass I will be one of the first in line.
So far I'm out of the 5 30 BRs we are shooting i have only tried the 6 BR expanded in one rifle, it seems very good at this point but we'll see how it holds up by the end of the season.
