Yeah, I was very impressed with the Garmin after my first outing with it last week. It picked up every shot and was so easy to setup and use. Didn't need to futz around at all; put it on the bench next to the rifle, point it at the target and fire away. Setup time: 4 seconds; that tripod doesn't deploy itself.

Remote control of the device using my smartphone would be awesome.

Set the unit on the bench right back by your action, it works fine from there
