I tried both the Nesika X and Diamondback picatinney
rails out today. Paul took the 20 MOA Stiller rail and
cut it to 40 MOA. My 100 yard zero is about one inch
high with this set-up leaving all 60 MOA in the scope
for elevation. This means I can get to 1650 yd with this
scope with the main floating dot and farther using the
mil-lines.
Alan Long, Junebug, Kruzan and and a new visitor came
over Sunday p.m. Winds were 18 to 30 miles per hour
so the 300 yard egg rack was a challenge. Kruzan
zeroed at 100 then went to the egg rack sighter and the
bullet blew all the way off the paper, at least 12 inches.
Kruzan and Bug had there Sako A-1's in 6 PPC. I shot my
Nesika X Plum Crazy 6 PPC.
Plum Crazy was the only gun to break two eggs in a row in the
Holly, Co. type winds.
Junebug Shot his Joel Kendrick Nesika TPE Dasher to 500 yds.
It and my Diamondback hit the 6 inch swinger at 500 on the
first shot after sighters. Bug shot 107 SMK's and I shot 115 DTAC's.
Then Bug pulled out his coyote gun, a 40-x, 6 x 47 with
62 Berger's equipped with the Burris Eliminator scope.
Richard Jackson a first time visitor took my Plum Crazy PPC
and Shot 2 shots touching at 100 yds. on his first attempt with
a bench gun. Then I dialed r' in and he put two shots touching
into the 1/2 inch orange bullseye.
I then dialed her up to 340 yd and put two in Ole Chuckie's
head. Richard followed with 6 straight shots into the
Chuckie's head.
Poor Richard. This evening will cost him some money down the
road. He was the last too leave enjoying the PPC fever. It was
too dark too shoot when he left me.
Great way to spend a Sunday evening with good friends, good
guns
