Late Sunday evening John Kruzan and Alan Long
came over with shooting irons. We took Alan's
Sako 6 mm PPC to 780 yd hitting Chuckie repeatedly.
The little Sako ended the shooting session with a
direct hit on Chico the prarie dog at 780.
The amazing thing is the Sako was shooting 58 V-max
which are too light to go that far. Go figure.
Now, Kruzan brought out his Viper 6 Dasher drop port
with muzzle brake. John zeroed on ole Chico and it
was making nice little black groups, so good that I
had to go put up some eggs. We put 3 eggs out at 780 yd.
My last two shots with the drop port had been head shots.
I set up for an egg attempt. I shot a couple of sighters
and missed shot #1 on the egg. I went back to the sighter
and hit within one inch of my point of aim (POA). I took one
more sighter and hit the POA.
Shot #2 on the egg. I held dead center and touched the Jewell.
I had time to get back on the egg and saw it explode as if hit
by a V-max. Bullet was a 107 SMK.
Now Alan Long sat down behind the Morley Viper. I told him
to hold dead center of the egg. He touched her off and the egg
went sky high.
One shot -- One kill
Alan Long stuck it on first shot, 'no sighter'.

I may get Kruzan to load for me. Looks like he's got it right.
