Maybe set up a microphone to pick up the clang to transmit at speed of light to shooter's speaker.....? If that speed can be increased a bit, it will clang just before shot is fired. ;-)
So if it doesnt clang, you know it was a miss, don't shoot. An ammo saving benefit.

I am going to put up a 5 foot square 1/4 inch AR500 target next to my 1000 practice target on my home range for sighters. Not possable to see impacts around the target. I have a 3 foot square 3/8ths AR500 next to my 750 targets.

I'm 7ft tall - just standing behind it to make it look a lot bigger . Kinda like when taking a pic of the fish you just caught or the buck you just shot...

About 330#. This one is 3/8" A46100 Armor, as we were running low on AR500 at the time. It won't move much, but boy does it ring. I slapped it with a smaller gong a few times and it rang for over 45 seconds.

Luckily these guys are local & picked them up. They did not bring too much truck, either... Was supposed to be a 30ft goose neck and they showed up with a bumper pull and flat bead. It was quite the trick getting them stacked.
