Online Order Shipping Trends

I placed a Grafs order on 11/27, it was shipped the 9th and it arrived the 21st. Their stated shipping has been at least 7-10 business days since early summer and weeks ago extended to 10-14 business days. Then, next add the USPS delays on top of that and the arrival date will be even longer. I placed an order last night and chose UPS Ground as the carrier.

On the other hand I have ordered a buncha other stuff that showed up in 2-3 days or maybe a week.. I order a lot because I live in Podunk Acres Wyoming. I have received everything else in a timely manner. . I just can't believe that after two weeks my order hasn't shipped.

My opinion is this if you want to blame anybody blame the virus that was brought upon us as far as I'm concerned Graf and Sons is one of the finest companies around been dealing with them for years and I got to contend with the same thing your going through they're doing the best I can.

Everybody is behind in filling orders and so are the shipping companies. Even Amazon, who most times delivers in two to four days is running late. Tracking orders shows the both UPS and FedEx have orders sitting in shipment centers for days waiting to go to the next shipping hub. Post Office is even further back.

With the present virus situation, people are not shopping in stores and are ordering on line which further stresses the entire system.

I feel your pain. I too ordered some brass and bullets on 12/13 from "IN STOCK" items.

This is from the order confirmation email:
Please allow 10-14 Business Days for your order to be processed and shipped. If you have powder on your order, please allow 20 Business Days.

So I'm expecting them to ship within a few days ( but 14 business days would put it shipping Jan 4th ), but because of the delivery overload across the country there is no way to predict when it will arrive. I had an order from a small town only 20 miles away as the crow flies. It took almost two weeks in the USPS system to get to me. Usually that is an overnight or second day at worst shipment here in AL.

You are in Podunk, WY; Grafs is in Podunk, MO. Hiring may not be an option since they are dealing with hazardous and controlled materials.

Have a cup of tea with me and we'll both try and muster some patience. In your neck of the woods it's probably too cold to walk to the mailbox anyway.

Disclaimer posted on main page of their website as of right now...

"Due to the recent events, Graf & Sons has received an enormous influx of orders. Due to this high volume of orders, shipping will be delayed 10-14 Business Days. Also, we are currently delayed up to 14 Business Days on powder orders. We continue to work as hard as we can to get your order shipped out as soon as possible."

Looked again today and shows shipped finally. On the other hand I ordered a pack from Amazon 4 days ago. Their projected arrival date was next Tues. So today it shows up at the PO..

Larry Pothead hasn't had a problem keeping up with orders, or with shipping same day. I've spent several grand in the last month at Midwayusa...................nothing better. Not to mention they have had free shipping over $49 a few times the last month. I don't see anyone else offering free shipping, not to mention actually shipping within a few days of your order.

Yeah but they dint have the Lapua brass I wanted.

Recently ordered a box of in stock bullets from Grafs. Waited about 10 days, no shipment, called and they told me they were almost caught up, should ship in a few days (this was last week). I cancelled, ordered from Brownells, shipped same day, bullets arrived pretty fast, got them 2 days ago.

Haven’t ordered from Graf lately....but good folks!

Midway and Powder Valley have been on top of their game....bought powder from both with prompt shipment and delivery. I think the USPS is as bogged down as bad as I’ve ever seen them.....I’m 80.
