Online Order Shipping Trends

The order I placed with Grafs on 12/26 just sent me a shipping confirmation. That would put it right at the end of the 10-14 business day warning for delayed shipping. If FedEx does their part it will be here Monday. No complaints here.

Ordered some Lapua brass that Graf's showed in stock. Paid with my CC. It's been two weeks and still their website shows not shipped yet. WTF Graf's? Hire some help.
Graf & Sons must be way behind. I ordered a scope in December and it took 2 weeks to get it shipped.

Help me out here. Unemployment is up and these companies can't keep up? Brick and mortar retail stores always hire extra help for the holidays. Why haven't the gun supply vendors done the same?
Not sure what local regs or guidelines they're working under, but here in CA, there have been local govt mandates for distancing between employees. In that instance, having more employees doesn't help if they don't have a place to work.

Stan is correct! Once the packages are out the door, in the carriers hands, the actual delivery date is, "anybody's guess" - I've had shipments delieverd two days early, and others take a full four weeks! Not being able to help customers is a BIG PINTA.:( Currently, especially as Stan and Nick have pointed out, that's our reality - what good would it do the have two shipments floating about, "who knows where", going to the same person? Just yesterday, I received a package (Fed-X) from Graff & Sons pretty close to the three week prediction. The stuff was all in stock, and I was advised that it may be three to four weeks to delivery - I was good with that.:) RG
Yesterday i had a fedx from Graffs within 5 days, pretty impressive. On the flip side a 3 day priority w USPS with two actions inside took 31 days, not so impressive

I ordered a set of pistol dies from midway, were supposed to be here yesterday. Checked usps tracking, and they are at Metro NY. Odd route from Missouri to Texas!

I had a pistol at Pardini in Florida for about a year. They shipped it back via UPS. It took several days to make it from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale, where it sat for about 2 weeks. Via the UPS tracking, it was still there after having been delivered.

Years ago, I had something coming from somewhere in the southeast to my home in California. It beelined to Sacramento, traveled to the Bay Area, then headed back to Texas before going to Los Angeles, back to Sacramento, San Pablo (in the Bay Area again), Menlo Park (south bay), then back to Oakland where it was delivered the next day. It was only a day late on delivery though.
