Oil barrel after cleaning?

Don't believe it! "Stainless" steel WILL rust under commonly found conditions
True, but properly stored & WS2 'prefouled' barrels would corrode less than normally fouled barrels. Right? Just keep your barrels clean, prefouled, and stored dry before use. Condensation should be avoided(anyway) by allowing the gun and ammo to equalize above dewpoint temps before exposure to outside air.

DANZAC was merely snake oil merchandising for WS2(tungsten disulfide). The terms should not be associated really, as WS2 exists(it's real) and DANZAC doesn't.

TonyR, I use a bore mop.
Keep it in it's plastic tube with a pinch of WS2. I use a piece of brake line for a burnishing bore guide(rather than those I use for cleaning).
I run the mop back & forth full length ~10 strokes. Then I follow once(using same guide) with a dry patch, breach to & out muzzle in one direction to force a continous grain toward muzzle. Put another pinch of WS2 in mop tube once in a while for future use.

Thanks, Mike. So you are putting it on dry, if I understand you correctly. I saw something about mixing some in alcohol but didn't want to try something like that without some advice.

Alcohol is for drying out barrel, prior to burnishing in DRY WS2.
My barrels are put up with dry bores, ready for the very next shot.
