Official Gun Pix 'Pride & Joy' Thread

Another G.33/40 custom. 22-250. Double set triggers. Bushnell scope, but it’s a cheapie. Not bad for $695.00. I suspect the seller wasn’t thrilled that I was the only bidder.

This rifle belonged to my father whom I lost this year right before my 30th birthday. He was a very frugal man. Aside from heirlooms the only guns he ever owned was an 1100 20ga wing master and this old Savage he bought the year I was born. I’ve decided to send her to Beanland Rifles and have him build me a 6.5x47L using all the original parts minus the factory barrel. I’ve built a lot of guns. Nice guns. But this one is by far going to be my biggest pride and joy.

Barrel shown is just for mock-up to ensure the stock will accommodate a #5 and help visualize the build. Please no Jackass remarks about it

Im sure your dad would be extremely proud! I lost mine 5 years ago and there is not a day that goes by that I dont wish I could just pick up the phone and call him or see him pull up in my driveway. No matter what rifles you have Im sure this one will be one of the most special ones and will always remind you of him.

Ok, I just posted this on pre-64 model 70 pictures. Aftemarket barrel. Unknown make. I have not fired it yet. It came with Redifield International sights. Barrel is in excellent, almost mint condition.

This is my pride and joy. My 4 shot Taurus 357. It blew in my hands shooting Remington green box. Taurus replaced it no question asked, when it arrived I took it down and traded it for a Ruger.

My money's on that cylinder being made from steel from far off Guangdong province. There is a LOT of crap steel out there today.

This is a special request from the father of a 13 year old boy for last Christmas. A 270 Win, with a synthetic stock, hunting rifle. It started as a 30-06 Rem 700, it ended, 12 days later, in time for Christmas, with two days to spare, as a 270 Win, trued action, 5 squared, lugs to 100% contact, Timney trigger, 100% glass bedded action and bottom metal, free floated barrel, rust blued. I would have turned it .010 over but did not have a .010 barrel in 270 in stock. Test fired to .35 inches.
