Here is the situation.
I saw an item on another bulletin board that I was interested in. The fellow had a price on the item. I emailed him found out the item was still available. Asked if he would pay for shipping. He indicates that he wants his price and that shipping is $15.00 extra.
OK, so I give him his price and add the $15 to boot.
Once the item is shipped, headed my way, he sends me an email telling me that item has been shipped and oh, by the way, shipping was actually $20. Would I send him a check for the additional $5.00.
I am conflicted here. The man got his asking price for the item and I paid him the amount he wanted for the shipping. Don't know that I feel obligated to kick-in the additional $5.00. That said, am not looking to cheat the guy but If I were in his shoes, I would just eat the $5.00 and call it even. I got my asking price.
Thoughts?
