Nosler Rifle Brass

I've been using a batch of Nosler 300 win mag brass for my 7-300 Win Mag, and its got 10 firings on it now with zero issues. Primer pockets are still nice and tight. Not running them hot though either, just a middle of the road load. When I had the rifle built, 300 brass was almost non existent and the smith gave me those Noslers. I've got a box of Lapua ready to go, if these Noslers ever decide to wear out...

On some recent 222 Nosler brass the mouths were very rough and lengths varied greatly.

I’m spoiled by Lapua , ready to load out of the box.

Yup,. The .22-250 Rem ( Nosler ) Brass that, I bought, a couple of, Years ago was,.. SWEET !
Some people thought that, It was made by,. NORMA for, them,. IDK,.. but, I like it.
Other Cart's,. I've heard, "Rumor's" as being not, so good ???
We in My Family,. LIKE,. Lapua, Peterson, Norma and,.. ADG as, First,. choices !
And, Starline work's fine, for Normal,.. Hunting use, Cartridges.
I bought Nosler premium "blem" brass thru Shooter's Pro Shop (no longer exists) a few years ago too. My research produced the same supplier info "made by Norma for Nosler". Interestingly, my premium blem brass came in a carboard box just like off the shelf brass. Brass wrapped in plastic bag and placed inside a foam lined box, the brass was immaculate. I never did find what made it "blem".

Shooter's Pro Shop description was blems were 1st quality, bullets or brass, with cosmetic defects. Because of that, I bought a lot, and at good prices with my veteran's discount vs 1st quality. That changed after the pandemic, prices rose and the savings/availability just weren't there.

Seconds, however, were not 1st quality and would have visible defects or other abnormalities. Tried some once just to see and never bought more.

Hard to say what's what, but Norma under contract made certain
brass for both Federal and Nosler for the premium lines.

Early stuff was great ... last 8 years I tried a little and lost primer pockets after 1 or 2 average loads.

Compete garbage for the price.

Not trying to be a smartass , what did you guys find wrong with it. Just asking. I thought it was alright but I dont have a set of guages. It is high priced. Doug
The ongoing complaint about Nosler brass (like Remington brass) is that it tends to be softer than some of the other brands. It is quality brass that just doesn't last quite as long as premium brands like Lapua. There are a lot of guys that run their loads as fast as they reasonably can (and then some....) - and it is when brass is pushed to those higher-pressure limits that one tends to see the differences in brass much more quickly than if shooting "mid-range" loads. I have shot a lot of Nosler brass in various calibers and, when not pushed too hard, has always given me excellent results and pretty long life. I think what people really mean when putting down the brass is that the cost is typically significantly higher relative to life span. It isn't that its bad brass.

Nosler bought a brass company about 6-8 years ago I doudt Norma makes any brass for them since then, actually it was more like 10+ years
