Nosler .280 AI brass question

I see that Nosler has just announced that they are selling .280 AI brass. This would be nice in regard to not haveing to have to fireform brass. The brass is not cheap though. But then neither are some of the others anymore.
But has anyone actually used Nosler brass and how does it compare to say Wincheter, Remington, even Norma or Lapua ?

Thanks, Lonnie

You would probably be better off to buy the Norma brass and fire form. It is much better quality and then you know you have superior components.

Nosler does not make the brass it sells. You can look at the business relationship between Nosler and Winchester, fail safe bullets and Winchester ammo loaded with Nosler bullets, to infer there is a good chance Winchester makes the brass for Nosler. The price would indicate a couple of extra quality control steps for consistency in weight and length. Something is wrong in the length department based on the number of complaints on this and other shooting/reloading boards.

I have worked with 25 rounds of 223 I traded for at a local range. They worked fine and lasted for 8 reloads out of an AR based target rifle. I much prefer the newer batches of Lapua 223 match. If there is a Lapua option I would not put my $$ on the table for Nosler brass.

I am not having any problems with the 300 WM or .243 Nosler brass I have. I have four firings on the .243 and three on some of the 300 WM cases. They are all still perfect. I did not have to do any prep work. They were exactly as labeled for me.
