I've just noticed that VV N140 is in stock at several suppliers. I thought it might be good since it's burn rate is very close to Varget. Is any one using in their 6BR?

What is the super shoot. I'm in al. and usually just shoot local matches

These boys are pulling your leg because a rifle that shoots in the ones CONSISTENTLY would win all the marbles at the Super Shoot, where about 250 of the world's best short-range benchrest shooters compete. The 2-gun winner (Gene Bukys) at this year's Super Shoot had an aggregate of 0.27xx (10 5-shot groups at 100yd and 10 5-shot groups at 200yd).

We see posts on this forum all the time about rifles that shoot in the zeros, ones, and twos, yet these folks are conspicuously absent from the Top 20 lists at registered matches. ANY rifle can shoot in the zeros or ones occasionally, just by chance. True precision is measured by aggregate accuracy.

Why do so many people think long range(VLD) type bullets don't shoot at 100 yards? I've shot many 5 shot groups in the 1's and 2's with a Dasher as well. I know other Dasher shooters with the same success. Lets see what the Supershoot shooters can do at 1k with their PPC's!

Ridge no one was saying that the dasher can't dump 5 shots in a .1 - actually I shot a .188 5 shot group with my dasher on Saturday. I'm just saying I don't think you interpreted my post the way I meant it. Happy shooting

One reason that you don't see Dashers in short range matches is the weight limits. Even though the heavy varmint class allows a total rifle weight of 13.5#, most of the matches are probably shot with LV/Sporter weight rifles which have a 10# limit. With the weights of the preferred scopes, this pretty much limits barrels to less than 22", and that, combined with the need to achieve some reasonable degree of rifle balance so that they can be shot free recoil, would preclude the barrel lengths that are suitable for the Dasher. Personally, I think that one of you high budget innovators needs to build a carbon fiber bullpup, with an aluminum or carbon fiber sleeved barrel and show us how it is done. ;D

I shoot 30 grns of VV N135 and 80 grn Bergers in my 6BR seated kissing the lands in a 8 twist barrel and it shoots great. Gonna try the VV N140 in the very near future!
