New RCBS scale coming at some point

My original CM dispenses to +/- .03, the performance is not based on the resolution shown on the screen but the precision of the trickling. Tuning the control parameters in conjunction with smaller tube tips provided this capability. A better scale will only reflect trickling capability which is the critical link in most systems.

Yeah I was super excited to order one ahead of time through that site until I realize they were charging double what actual retail will be based on the information we have right now.

I very highly doubt that will be the price in the US. Their sales would be a total flop at that price. RCBS isnt that foolish

I haven't kept up with all the posts in this thread so my apologizes if this has already been covered, but is this new RCBS MatchMaster made in the USA or just assembled here with parts made elsewhere, like the Philippines, or does anyone really even know???

I don't mind paying a premium for a premium product, but if it's not, then I'll be a lot less interested.

This is one of those new products that I will let be out here to the masses for a good 12 months before I personally would even give it a look. Hope it works out in that time. It looks like a good option for loading at the range under battery power.

anything over 500 would be iffy with the auto throw and auto trickler having the 750 - 1000 price range staked out. Just my opinion of course

I am guessing since their BIG REVEAL was a big dud and all we got was a picture of the thing we will still have to guess at some things. Looking at Galleon, I noticed it says “Get it between 2019-10-22 to 2019-10-29” so maybe that indicates release or at least close to expected release dates when we may expect it out for sale??

It looks fast, and plenty good enough to replace what I'm using my fx 120/auto trickle for. Which is basically getting close before weighing on a real scale .

Well RCBS confirmed MSRP is going to be $899. I’m guessing realistic price on the market will probably be more like $799?? Nothing else they announced is new information. Approx 20 seconds for .10 grain accuracy. Longer for match .04 accuracy but they won’t say how much longer.

They still have not verified if it is a strain gauge or magnetic force.

.04gr isnt even possible with the N570 powder. Each kernel weighs around .06gr.
Drives me nuts throwing N570 on the FX120i. Usually cut a few kernels in half at the start so I can get weights when they are a little off too close to the target.

So far I could forgive the price if the unit is magnetic and not strain but for me the deal breaker may be the unknown amount of time to achieve the .04 accuracy. If 20 seconds is needed for .10 then I'm guessing at least 30-40 for .04 and that's 2-3x longer than my FX/Autotrickler. But I'll still get one to play with and review just because I'm intrigued, and who knows, I may just end up loving it.

Welp, Amazon had it for $840 when it was up for a few minutes a few weeks ago. For the price and performance, it’s definitely not an AutoTrickler killer.

If these times are accurate, I'm pretty competitive hand weighing against most of them. Of course, I can't compete with the Harrell's or the Prometheus. Anyone got measured times for the new RCBS scale? Chart with times is at 2:30.
