Except for CO2 fills, I dumped them after Sandy Hook which is actually when they stopped selling ARs. The new directive is for their Field & Stream stores. Aside from that, Cabela's opened a store less than a mile away and that pretty much killed their hunting department.

I kinda like it that the small business shops have a chance to "clean up" now if they don't get greedy.

In my neck of the woods, Cabela's all but killed the LGS but then again they made some poor business decisions with regards to prices and hours. All were closed on Sunday and/or Monday and hours weren't working man friendly. Hate to see them go but with the internet and big box stores, competition takes no prisoners.

You want to see a real gun store, come up here to Maine, there is only one place to go it's Kittery Trading post, just as you cross the big bridge into Maine from NH off of RT 95. They have more rifles, handguns, shotguns, scopes, ammo and reloading equipment in that place than you ever seen in your wildest hallucination as Clint Westwood once said. You think you died and went to heaven when you walk into that place.

Grices in Clearfield Pa is pretty big. They supply a lot of gunshops and get special runs of guns not available to others. Matt

There was a gunshop in Framingham, MA called Lew Hortons. He did away with the gun shop and now they are just a wholesaler to other gun shops. They have special runs of special edition Lew Horton handguns from time to time as anyone who is into handguns knows about.
