SADLY Some of the Gun Dealers are Screwing the Gun Public,Nothing Wrong w/ a Fair Profit,PRICE GOUGHING, Should be ILLEGALA lot of the primers on gun brokers are from GUN DEALERS.
I will NOT defend the practice of GOUGING, But IF a person puts an item on an auction site and starts the bid at .00 and the bidding ends up at $ 1800.00 for a $125.00 item, it's not the sellers issue it's the bidders.. NOW if a seller puts a $125.00 item up and asks for a starting bid of $1800.00 THAT'S gouging IMHO. You still need someone to PAY that price though and that's they buyers choice.SADLY Some of the Gun Dealers are Screwing the Gun Public,Nothing Wrong w/ a Fair Profit,PRICE GOUGHING, Should be ILLEGAL
It doesn't cost the shipper a penny extra to ship hazmat. Suppliers and shippers will tell you that the hazmat charge is used to offset training cost for their employees. In reality it is pure profit.Well for $20 bucks he's not shipping Haz. Mat..
This! if it's a penny auction with no reserve it is actual market you can't call someone out for gouging as it's what the price is in the current market as at least two people are willing to pay that price basically.I will NOT defend the practice of GOUGING, But IF a person puts an item on an auction site and starts the bid at .00 and the bidding ends up at $ 1800.00 for a $125.00 item, it's not the sellers issue it's the bidders.. Ah!never hear people complain about selling Colt Pythons for 3-5K when they only paid a couple hundred for them years ago.

What I cant understand is how they are shipping them.A lot of the primers on gun brokers are from GUN DEALERS.
Actually, not correct. Info from UPS website:

You know if that person has anymore I'm in desperate need for some small pistol primers and powder?Hmmmmmm.....I just bought 2000 primers from a club member...for $30 per thousand, hand delivered at the month end match. Maybe I should sell them and fund a new 30 BR barrel!
So after recouping the entry fees then its pretty much pure profit.
In the 50 years Ive been receiving supplies I have seen virtually no change in packaging. Powder jugs are stuffed into a shipping as well as primers in their own packaging.
Back when this profit well was first tapped I did all the research possible and at the time, looking for any instance of fires or explosion related to smokeless propellant and primers(1970s, early 80s). Zero at that time w/o the benefit of hazmat expertise.
I sold 1000 CCI BR4’s to my local chain sawSaw an auction end a while ago on Gunbroker completed auctions for 1000 CCI small pistol primers with over 20 bids go for $405.00 plus $20.00 shipping. Guess when you need something ya gotta pay up if you didn't stock up.
