New high for primers?

Saw an auction end a while ago on Gunbroker completed auctions for 1000 CCI small pistol primers with over 20 bids go for $405.00 plus $20.00 shipping. Guess when you need something ya gotta pay up if you didn't stock up.

I just logged in to GB and typed in CCI small pistol, boy.... most of them, no matter how crazy have a bid on them.

Can you bid on these auctions and get the price way up and just not follow through with the sale? things are kind a slow around here and this might be fun.
you have to have a gunbroker account and if you do that your account will be in trouble. You don't have to do what you mentioned, desperate buyers are doing it for you :)

No Sir. About 5 month's ago 5 sleeves of 205'm went for 500+ plus shipping. Right now on GB there is a case of CCI 41 primers that has 43 bids on it already with 3 days left and it's up to $1825.00.

For the ones who got caught short, guess whos fault that is. When times are normal always keep enough on hand to load for that yr. because you can never tell when a shortage will occur. The ones online charging Jessie James prices knew this was going to happen. Now they are robbing you.
Every year after the shot show prices normally rise, then that's when all the moaning about higher prices begins. You know its going to happen, so prepare. Having more on hand that what you will shoot this week isn't hoarding, its a matter of looking ahead and not having to worried about supply and demand. LDS

I hope the buyers report these "gougers" for shipping primers and powder non-hazmat. The sellers could loose their homes for just a few hundred dollars in profit. Fines can be $100,000 or more.

I have a shooting buddy that mentioned he might sell off some of his "powder stores" and cash-in on this madness until I told him about the fines if reported or caught..
