Sadly it's probably got $30 in parts inside and I don't see development making up the difference. Clearly it's way over priced, but so was the LR. They just charge what the market will bear. I'm as guilty as the next person, I can afford the convenience so I pay the game.I still like my $80 pro crono. Does everything I need it to do. Does Arrows, pellet rifles, and 5000fps on centerfires. Takes 3 minutes to set up and I've never had any issues with it in a thousand trips to the range over the last 10+ years.
The Garmin is nice sure, but not even close to being $600 cool...
I see where your going, maybe it would pick up the patch. as far as vel, it will. everything from a rubber band to HP rifle.Big question is.. will it accurately measure ball speed if shooting patched round balls with black powder.
when i first tried mine out next to my LR they were within 2fps every shot. that was off a benchJust got mine. I noticed it seems to be a bit slower in velocity compared to my Magnetospeed v3. Wondering where it picks up the bullet at? It seemed down 20-40 fps and showed larger es/sd variations than i have seen with magnetospeed. Probably a setup issue? I think i had it aligned ok per the instructions. Will try it on the bench next time, i was prone in a field, may not have been perfectly aligned
I have Three 35p’s , Labrador’s are nice , I have one and so is the Garmin, I plan on getting one but I’ll never part with my 35’sI wonder if I could get a museum to buy my 35P.
