Is that void in the carbide ring or the ID of the die body? Looks like it's in the ID of the body and will have no effect, won't touch the brass...Here is a nice polished Lee 9mm die, with a defect. Good luck with the 3th die.

They arrive today, and you bet I will be testing them. Will let you all know as soon as I run a few!
Awesome i think you will be happy. I have 5 sets of lee dies and becer had a problem.
