I'm guessing you better order a barrel now, so it is ready when this one is gone! ;)

If it was my rifle and it took 100 rounds to develop the load AND I used it strictly for coyote hunting, it would last me for the rest of my life.
Lots of difference between the round count of a predator hunting rifle compared to a competition or varmint rifle.

Sorry if it was taken as a negative. Certainly NOT meant to be, that is why I added the smiley. Any projectile coming out at 4000 fps is most certainly going to be a little hard on barrel life. I'm sure aitrble has taken that into consideration. Everything has pros and cons. It is a very nice rig and one to be proud of. If the owner is a young fellow and lives in good coyote territory, it may need a barrel some day. They make new ones everyday. Tally Ho, let the good times roll. Please accept my apologies!

timeout, I didn't take your comment as a negative. I was just making a counter point to your point. And I guess I should have added a 'smiley'. Bear in mind that I am 65 years old. So barrel life in some cases doesn't mean much to me.
BTW, I picked up a 6-284 barrel this past summer. Got 150 rounds thru it so far and it probably won't last much past another year or two. But its my "hotrod" and I didn't expect 1000 rounds barrel life when I bought it.

I didnt take it the wrong way Timeout, knew the barrel thing would come up. Fireform in another barrel so load development only took 30 rds. After talking to RG he suggested a 11 twist for his bullets, that barrel is on order. On a side note met Randy the day my rifle was born gave me some bullets to try, shot so well bought em all. Thanks Randy And Thanks for your post John

Those pics my friend are more than impressive. Any other yote hunter in your area has to be jealous of those results. It looks as though you didn't leave any for everyone else to shoot, and that is a wonderful thing.

Forget that didnt I ! 27" Shot at 450 yds 2 x 3/4 group 5 rds. Average velocity 4036 ES 13 Barrel life 500 if Im lucky, thats 498 coiyotes. Yea Right!
