New after 20+ years

I've got a couple of Lee presses, the little Partner and the larger cast iron that takes the inserts. But my primary press for fifty years has been the RCBS Rockchucker. Adjusting dies isn't an issue because I use the Sinclair stainless split locking rings (they don't mess the threads up) and once set are good to go. The dies are primarily Redding, with the micrometer top seating dies for competition loading. The inexpensive Lee priming tool works fine, never had a problem with one. I use an RCBS Chargemaster (with a power conditioner, half hour warm up time, aluminum powder pan, and reprogramed to throw charges slower) because no power thrower throws coarse stick powder well and trickling for 100 or 200 rounds of match ammo eats time. Loading blocks are the heavy Sinclair blocks that I stuck little rubber feet on, they stay put.

A good turret press like the Redding would work just fine and with interchangeable tool heads you could set and forget every die you have.

Over the years a whole lot of reloading gadgets have made it across my bench. A few have stayed like the Wilson micrometer case trimmer for match loading, Sinclair carbide primer pocket tools, Sinclair neck thickness measuring tool and a few others. I have more money in dies than anything else.

Rcbs deal is hard to beat at $269... Don't plan on ammo staying cheap or even available.... Buy what you need for loading now before it goes up...

Single stage... Rcbs

Progressive.... Dillon

There will be some good deals around Xmas time....

When you said just one caliber and wanting to keep your .223 dies set in place, I would take a hard look at the Redding T-7. You could buy the Redding trim die that uses a file to trim with and keep it set up in one of the slots and not have to buy a seperate trimmer. The T-7 also can be purchased with a great priming system.
This press would be the easy button for your one caliber.

Really appreciate all the information here. I had no idea about some of the choices mentioned. I am already starting to re-think a few things. More research to go. Going to need to do this slowly I think. My Wallet is already feeling the pain and I haven't even bought anything yet. Probably going to build a few different lists (good, better, best) and see where I should upgrade first and where I should start with entry level that might hold me for a while.
Unfortunately, I can't shoot as well as the best ammunition or rifles out there anyway, so to some degree, too much precision is just wasted on me anyway. Probably will go budget on a few things and upgrade a couple others to start. Gives me some extra money to spend getting more trigger time until I can fully appreciate the best upgrades.
