Need 'Pet Loads' for Upcoming 22-250 Cartridge Guide

H4350 with any good match type .224 bullet 68 grains and heavier.

When I can get them on sale I load 69 .224 Barnes Match Burners. A 1.5 wide by 2 + inch 14 shot group @ 300 using IMR 4350 was recently shot.

22-250 24" 9 twist barrel
35.5gr IMR 4064
nosler 55 gr ballistic tip
CCI 200
OAL 2.455
3800 plus on my chronograph
ave .334 for 5 ,5 shot groups
I shoot this out to 600 ,never tried farther.
best load for any gun I've ever came up with.
I tried 5 bullets and 4 powders, 28 combos and this
it what I settled on.

Bullet mfg, bullet weight, bullet type: Barnes 30gr varmint grenade

Primer brand and type: Sellier and Bellot

Brass brand: Sorted by volume Winchester Bumped .002 trimmed, uniformed pocket and flashhole

Powder Mfg. and type:Alliant RL-10x (might switch to RL-15

Powder charge in grains:36.7

OAL and seating depth:Seated .224 into case (don’t have any to measure at the moment)

Velocity and barrel length: 4500ish average out a 22’ 1-14 Mossberg patriot.

Comments: VERY HOTincrease load sloowwwly. Shoots .5moa. Turns squirrels into pink mist. That group is 200 yards (bench and bipod)and not cherry picked. THOSE THAT DO NOT DEVELOPE THIS LOAD WITH STANDARD RELOADING PROCEDURES DO SO AT THEIR OWN PERIL!

40grain Vmax or Nosler Balistic works well also
39.5 grains varget
CCI 250 primers
Various case manufacturers

The old std tried and proven load of:

38.0gr - H380
any good match 52gr bullet
F205M

I've never seen a decent 22-250 14tw that didn't shoot this load very well.
I have used this load with 52 gr. Speer bullets for many years with great success in several rifles. Use 210M primers also

Remtington Factory barrel 1 in 14 twist
Remington Factory brass full lenght sized
(1) 52gr Sierra Match King HPBT(3750fps)
41.0grs Winchester 760
Federal 210 Match
.10 off lands
(2)52gr Sierra Mach King HPBT(3550fps)
35.0grs IMR 4320
Federal 210 Match
.010 off lands

Both loads work excellent and shoot in sub 2's 5 shot groups.
IMR 4320 is one of my favorite powders in the 22-250 and 223 with 55gr Blitzkings as long as I was hand weighing every powder charge.
