Neck cleaning after annealing

some use a scotch brite pad to get the fie burrs out of the case mouth. I am going to start doing this

I have also used Scotchbrite (green) and it also seems to work well but 0000 is a finer grit it seems which in my mind (perhaps incorrect) would polish smoother...can't say for sure but both work well.

The 0000 stuff I use is steel wool. What I was thinking is polish only the chamfer area like 22BRGUY but with my technique of warping a small bit of the steel wool around a bore brush and spinning it with a cordless drill. Then coming back with a regular bore brush to loosen any stuff hanging around and then vacuum the loose stuff away with a shop vac.

You can do that jlow, but I've found it better to either just leave the inside of the neck alone or use a stiff plastic brush just a couple strokes at most. With 0000 you may get the necks inside really clean but it tends to give erratic neck tension. By leaving the carbon mostly in there, it acts as a lubricant if you will, for more consistent and lighter bullet release. Zfastmalibu's comments Have worked great for me also.

We are actually on the same page. What I meant is to polish ONLY THE CHAMFER AREA i.e. the little lip area.
