Name that hunting bullet.

Picked these up today as a grab bag. 149ish grains at .278 on my caliper. I' assuming 270/6.8. Looks like a good deer buster for 100yds and under here in WNC. Any ideas or info on them?

I don't think it is a Hot Cor. The ones I've used for a .270 didn't have a cannelure. My Grand Slams do, but the bullet profile is different than what's pictured here.

Another vote for Core Lokt by Remington.

Well I was hoping for a .284 but 233 bullets for $35 ain't bad so i jumped on it but I can't use them. I may post in classifieds

The way the lead comes to those points on the bottom makes it look very much like an old school remington bullet. I've fired a pile of them out of my 30-30.

I cannot recall the early Rem round nose Core-Lokt bullets, all that I have handloaded or bought in Factory ammunition has has a scalloped jacket at the nose.
I do have some early Norma RN bullets in .308 caliber that mimic this profile albeit without a cannelure.
Hope you find your answer.

I'm a lead nose fan for bolt guns too because I never shoot a deer over 75yds. I've just had good luck with them.
