Glad to hear somebody is having good luck with SSS. I've been waiting 6 months on a stock and trigger. Guess my order fell through the cracks after they got my money.

i had Fred do a time and true on a target action, his benchrest trigger, his benchrest stock fully bedded and could not be happier. he also did the fishnet fluting with an olive color that matches the stock. Fred is a true artisan in his field.

I usually don't try and bash anyone as I know all about getting screwed over by parts, delivery, etc.
My issue with SSS is simple - They lied! nothing more nothing less. If they email me and say that they have parts IN STOCK ready to ship so I order and pay! and then 6 weeks later they say the same thing to a different email but still have yet to ship anything to me I have a problem. They might be great sometimes, they might be swamped and unwilling to hire more people others but I don't tolerate being lied to then being ignored when I want my money back. They do GREAT work so that's why people keep giving them chances. It's not about the speed it's all about honesty and communication.

When I made my original post I said that I had had a positive experience with them and whatever the outcome was that I would post the outcome. I also said at that time they earned this one AND some poor ones . Their reputation is well known on the forum .YOU choose whether or not you’re going to do business with them - it’s your choice.You walk in with your eyes wide open. I will give someone a chance- ONCE and if you lie you’re done. I found my first experience very pleasant and straightforward and I would deal with them again
