If you look solely at the BC of the 90 gr weight class 6mm bullets, you're talking about wind deflection comparable to a .223 Rem F-TR rifle with 75-80 gr bullets (30" barrel). So of course you can shoot the 90s at 300 yd. But will you win using those? That totally depends on the wind conditions, the skill of your opponents, and the bullets/loads they will be using. In all likelihood, you will be giving up a fair bit of windage to some of the other F-Open shooters. If the 90s load with outstanding precison in your setup, it might compensate for a small disadvantage in wind deflection, but probably not for a large difference. How far out would you rely on the 90 grainers in the 6br?
You post that Bart shot his record with 80s (or 88s) - but the article says he shot the record target with 105 Hammers.600( bart set a record of .311 5 shots at 600 with 80 or 88..not sure which) plenty good

I've witnessed an under 2 inch, 10 shot group shot at 600 with 90 grainers by a forum member on here. How far out would you rely on the 90 grainers in the 6br?
That’s all I shoot is Berger 90BT . I’m the weak link at 300 yards .For 300, I sure like the 90 BT and it’ll shoot very well from that twist. Very forgiving on depth in my gun- once I jumped them more than .010 they made little dots for me.
The 105 VLDH is a killer too and almost always available. Your throat isn’t going to move enough in a BR to worry about retuning more than on occasion.
I once shot a 3” group at 900 yards on the 11th shot we decided to come down a click so the target pullers could see the bullet strike again. This was in the Palma team match at Perry, ended the day with a 449-30x , the missed shot was called a 10 at 2, came up a 9 at 2 just on the other side of the line. 233 Palma rifle with Berger 90’s 27.2 grs 2000MRI've witnessed and under 2 inch, 10 shot group shot at 600 with 90 grainers by a forum member on here.
I shoot 90s exclusively. My friend was using 26” barrel with 105 and I was using 30” barrel with 90s . At 1K yards I was 4 MOA less than he .Im very surprised more people arent using lighter 95gn bullets for 300y. If you check the ballistics of lighter 95gn loads at the higher velocity possible, the wind drift is about the same as 105s at 300, but you have the advantage of lower recoil and less hold/bag set up sensitive.
That would be close to NBRSA world record 600 HG I believe is 1.9 - 7XI've witnessed an under 2 inch, 10 shot group shot at 600 with 90 grainers by a forum member on here.
My F-Open 6BR weighs 18 pounds. I shoot 105 Bergers at ~2965. I have to say that recoil is not in my scope of concern. The rifle barely moves when shot free recoil.Im very surprised more people arent using lighter 95gn bullets for 300y. Wow that is fast for a standard 6BR. I kind of didnt expect the recoil of the 6BR to be too much concern compared to your usual 300WSM. Lovely little things arent they.My F-Open 6BR weighs 18 pounds. Im interested to hear if you were able to get more consistent accuracy at 300y with the 90s.Interested in this answer as well. Just bought some 90BT and 108BT to try in my 6br at 300 yards.
H4895 (AR2206H) is your friend. I just fired my current lot of Lapua 6BR brass for the 34th time. Primer pockets still tight. 6BR is a very enjoyable cartridge.Wow that is fast for a standard 6BR.
