Great event Scott,

Thanks and props to you, Rick Hunt, Steve Knutson, Gary and Mike for taking your time and energy to put on this yearly event.

It's a great way to get my head back into the game after a long long winter, to see old friends, and meet new ones. The rain we had managed to avoid shooting time almost perfectly.

Too bad our brothers from the northern wastelands couldn't join us. It would have been fun to see Rod's girls kick Joel's rear. On the plus side, it did make for less odoriferous pit duty.

I had a great time and I even learned a little about reading the wind on Saturday.

All in all I was VERY pleased with how well I did for my 1st ever competition on Sunday. My scores got better each relay and I set a goal of 195 for my last relay and ended up with a 195 8X on that relay and had a total of 569 17X for the 3 relays. If it hadn't been for a rookie mistake on the first relay I might have even tied for score with the 2 top guys in Master/Unclassified class, they finished @ 579. I had to take a 0 on one shot :'( , long story short I bumped my gun/trigger ahead into my finger while trying to reset myself and shot one down range before the target came back up :-[ . But it was a learning experience for sure.

Thanks to everyone who put on and helped with everything for the w/e. I may try to head back up that way in July.

Had a great time at the wind clinic on Saturday. Food was great. Jager had a lot of fun shooting his first match. If anyone has pictures of him shooting I would love to see them. I didn't get a chance to take any, to caught up in the moment and forgot to take the camera out.

Thank you very much! It was a lot of information and fun. I am pretty happy I did not get hooked too bad because there are a lot of expensive toys you use in this sport. However I am already thinking about coming up some Monday night with a .223 and try it again.

You weren't shooting at target two for the wind clinic by any chance were you? That's the one I was pulling and I thought it must of been a 22 cal. I was gonna say pretty good shooting .

I was shooting a .308 win. I think target 9 for the clinic and target 10 for the match. I was pretty happy with my results. I am looking to get a higher mag scope so I have better hold off (favor) ability. The X and 10 white rings kinda blended together with the 16x. I need to look when the next events are, maybe Red Wing will have one. That's hour and half closer

I had a great time and learned a lot for the first formal match setting. Everyone was great and friendly and the match was run well and efficient. Cant wait to come back again.
