Minnesota Wind Clinic and Match **Results**

Hello Shooters,
After receiving 14" of snow on April 17-18, the wind clinic and matches were canceled. This has been the winter without end! The event has been rescheduled for May 18-19, 2013. I hope to see all of you there.

Glad to see you guys were able to reschedule. I'll talk to Rod about doing a road trip weekend. There's a match in Grand Forks on Saturday but could probably make it down for Sunday's NRA match. Put me down as a strong maybe for Sunday.

For me the cancellation was a blessing in disguise. I think this event will be PERFECT for a newbie like me just getting into this long range shooting. 8)

I wanted to go to this event pretty badly but due to all the nasty weather, rain, etc. in my neck of the woods lately I wasn't getting my usual hours @ work (I drive/dispatch for a Ready Mix Co.) and my paychecks for the last few weeks had been piss poor to say the least and $$$ was just a tad too tight for me to justify me going this weekend.

BUT......... now that it's in mid-May. Im IN! ;D

Plus I'm super close to getting my load development done (check out my reloading forum posts) and I think (I hope) I'll have my .243 nutted in perfectly by then.

Just booked a room @ Country Inn & Suites in Elk River for that w/e. 8)

Me and Eric (scalian) should be there Friday afternoon. I wonder what I'll forget to bring? :-\

Any chance of checking out the range/facilities Friday evening?

The range is looking awfully nice. MN is literally a month behind for shooting so it will be great to see everyone after a long winter.

Looks like the weather should be decent this weekend for the clinic/shoot. A few scattered thunderstorm chances but good temps and no gale force winds. 8)

I picked up 50# of pork loins, 5 huge cans of beans, pickles and chips for the lunch. Trial run on the smudge pots tonight. All the targets are faced and ready for both F-class and sling shooters.

The only thing left to do is to pick up some fiber bars for Fast Eddie!

Thanks Rod!

I started cooking at 7am. Food is out at the club, smudge pots are ready, targets are all faced and some Iowa guys have already got a tour. I am off to let a camper in now. We will miss you down here, but if there is an east wind, you should smell the fiber bars at Grand Forks! Hold hard!

John, come on back, even if just for a visit.
