Midway USA's Note To CA Customers

Why would anyone want to live in that state? Same for New York. You might as well be living in a different country.

I am so blessed to have grown up in the south and to be currently living here.

And before anyone tells me those states are great, I've been to both and I've lived in NY for four years when I went to college, so I have first hand experience on their suckiness.

You can keep the pot, beach, and wackos. I'll keep my guns and I'll keep them well fed too.

Edit: not knocking the gun owners who live there. Just knocking the other 51% who are ruining it for you.

The law in Florida and I understand other places as well, is you must have a store front in an area that is zoned for sales. This is a local law and the ATF and the Clinton administration pushed cities and counties to pass it. I had several friends that lost their FFLs cause of it. One friend lives in a small city and he shoots with the city manager once a week and helps the police officers with guns and ammo. The ATF told him he was losing his FFL and then they called the city manager and were in formed other wise. It is a back door way to implement gun control without headlines.

Just know that once you list your 'kitchen' as the place of business, the ATF can drop in unannounced to check your paperwork and security without any notice.
yeah i know thats why i dont have one
(an ffl) i only get an ffl if i had a separate place to use it at from anything else i own.

So what about components? Powder, primers.

At the last Camp Pendelton Open a Lawyer from the California Rifle and Pistol Association spoke to shooters about all of the new California laws.
The ammo restrictions cover center fire and rim fire ammo but do not cover reloading components. However how the component suppliers will interpret the new law is left to be seen.
This interpretation on components was also confirmed on a webinar hosted by one of the major firearms law firms in the state. We'll see how it plays out.

yes i an sure you are right. Here in IN there are quite a few out of the house FFLs around. So im sure its a state situation. I have my issues with IN but I have to say they are A+ when it comes to protecting firearms ownership. They even removed the prohibition against automatic knives a couple years ago

I was born here. The concept that I have to move to maintain my constitutional and civil rights makes me angry.

People who vote stupid "because it doesn't affect me" is the biggest problem. "Celebrities" doing political advertising is another.

I lived in the Bay area for almost 15 years while working at SFO. When it became time to move on it was a freakin dust cloud chasing me down the I10 corridor. No matter how it happens, people like Brown keep getting elected. So there you are. I know what you mean though. You get out of the cities and people hate Sacto, but the cities rule that state. Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi and the rest...well good luck.

In the peoples republic of Massachusetts, a lot of companies, bowed down to threats from the Attorney General about selling ammunition and reloading components thru the mail to Mass residents including Midway, I do my business with other sources.

i have a daughter that is stuck in San B.. i keep telling her to remind her hubby that they ain't the Clampetts and Kalifornie ain't the place to be!

Move to another state that's the best thing I can tell you. I'm considering moving out of PA due to getting screwed over by the PA Game Commission for helping out the farmers. The government in this country sucks not much you can do.

I think the letter would have been more effective if it had ended with "I'm Larry Potterfield and that's the way it is!" California has voted a lot of stuff on themselves. That state will never change.
Im Larry Potterfield and Thanks for your PAST Business. CA wont change it will only get worse for gun owners. Its sad but the only thing to do is move. Same stuff is moving right up the coast through Oregon and Washington.

After returning from 'Nam, I lived in the gay bay for a number of years. It didn't take me long to realize that to even shoot any of my weapons, I had to either go to a local range and wait my turn (long wait), or go to the hinterland. Well, the hinterland now in CA is mostly a myth, as it took over two hours of driving just to get to a place that was LEGAL to shoot.

Moral of my story: Like the previous poster, as soon as I could, I also created a dust cloud heading north to escape the liberal idiocy that plagues that state. That was 41 years ago, and I don't plan on EVER returning! (Not even to visit!)

In Oregon I carry concealed, I can go into a gun store, buy, and walk out with any rifle, pistol or shotgun of my choice. I can shoot on BLM land five minutes from my house, I can have ammo and components shipped to my home......what's not to like about living free? I guess Pelosi, Fienstien and the other libtartds have a vastly different answer, and I'm truly sympathetic to those gun owners that are forced for one reason or another to live there. Kalifornia indeed.

Western Washington and western Oregon are just a wanna be California
That's because the limp wrist liberals from California moved up there and jacked up the property taxes. Sold their homes in So Cal, took their $$ up North with them and bought low cost homes.
You need to put that sign back up. Welcome to Oregon/Washington. Now GO HOME!!
