MidSouth Marksmen LR/MR Matches AEDC/Tullahoma TN

MidSouth Marksmen Shooters,

Just a friendly reminder, we will be hosting a 3 x 1000 LR match this Sunday the 21st of June at AEDC.

The weather forecast looks promising but hot in the mid 90's. Please bring your canopy's as its our intent to cover

the firing line, rain or shine.

Registration will start at 0730 and end promptly at 0830 followed by squading and a safety brief. As always

bring a friend and if at all possible bring a junior. Juniors always shoot free at MSM LR/MR events. Remember if

we don't get our kids involved, the sport we love will end.

Hope to see you all on Sunday, MSG(R) Tim Kreier

Your help is truely appreciated!! MSG(R) Tim Kreier

We had a total of 28 competitors, come out and enjoy the warm weather at yesterdays 3x600 approved match at AEDC. Attendance was down, I believe the ongoing national championships at Camp Perry was the reason. Those who attended gave it there all and some impressive results were posted.

The high Prone shooter was Jim Sokolowski, high F-Open Randy Graham, high F-T/R Wade Fillingame, high Junior F-Open Elya Courtney, high Junior F-T/R Corbin Venters. Attached please find the entire match results.

Our next scheduled match at AEDC will be a 3x1000 on Saturday 1 August. Hope to see you there! and good luck to all those on there way to Perry for the Championships.

It was a great match and well run. It was a great day to get an almost no wind zero at 600 yards. The canopies on the firing line made a hot day manageable for us old folks. The pits were hot but that is what summer is all about. The awards ceremony at the end of the day was great with some nice awards for the winners. The 1000 yard match on August 1 at AEDC will be a great event run with the same great folks, John and Tim. Tim's "encouragements" are worth the price of admission. The KD range at AEDC is a national treasure. Thanks for all that MSM does for the sport.

Tim runs a tight match.
I wish I lived in TN and could shoot with Tim and
My brother.
I may have to make a trip out there to shoot sometime.

Pack up Steph and he kids and head east young man! There are plenty of schools here that can use good teachers.

We want to thank everyone that came out and shot Saturday, It was a really nice day for shooting. The wind at AEDC did not lets us down and made sure we all cussed it occasionally, but there were still some very good scores achieved.

Thanks again,
John/Tim

PS

Do not forget the 600yd Regional Aug 29th and 30th. Also, it appears that the LR Championship tournament on Sept. 5th and 6th will be the TN and AL State Championships both again this year. Thank you to those of you from AL that helped to make this happen.

We are just one week out from the Mid South Marksmen 5 x 600 Mid Range Regional. Registration will begin at 07:30 and finish at 08:30 sharp. Once squading is complete we will have safety brief and move to the firing line/pits. Please, if you have a portable canopy bring it. Its our intent to cover the firing line for the conduct of the match and shoot dry and cool if possible.
Please thank your fellow competitors, Royal Ritchie, Clint Roberts and John Venters who came out last week and constructed 36 new targets for both the regional and the state championship. They have ensured everyone
can concentrate on shooting instead of target repairs.

Hope to see you there! Please bring a friend and junior if possible..............................MSG(R) Tim Kreier Mid South Marksmen

I'm not sure everyone realizes how much time and effort goes on behind the scenes beforehand to get a match like this put together. I for one will be sure to thank Royal, Clint, John, Tim, and Clyde when I see them at the match next weekend. Without this kind of volunteerism, the rest of us would not be able to participate at all. Thanks guys!

Just pulled into town. The forecast took a turn for the worst it appears. Hope it holds out.

Less than 20% before 4pm both days. We should be good if those prone shooter don't slow the match down ;)

One of my best LR relays was shot in the rain two years ago at The State F Class Long Range match in Tullahoma. Good luck to all the shooters this weekend. I will be there next weekend for LR.
