In My opinion, primer “crush“ is a separate issue. It is the amount of force applied to the primer after it bottoms in the pocket.

As Bart once said and this may not be word for word [ nothing good happens until the primer is seated to the bottom of the pocket]

did a check on the primers that i had put in the 6.5 CM .006 below . I am happy with that
