lubing for neck sizing?

What are some ways folks have found that work well for neck sizing lubing?

I a curious as to what folks find that works well for them.

I am using forster neck sizing dies.

Thanks

I use Redding bushing dies with RCBS II liquid case lube.

Applied using a sponge pad that's had the lube worked in, sizing just necks or the full case body/shoulder can be done quick & easy.

Washes off with water (full-length sizing) or wiped off with a damp towel (necks only).

I use some Ballistol sprayed on a 4x4 inch piece of old t shirt. You don't want to have too much on the rag. Spin the neck in the rag and size.

It also wipes off with a wet rag.

I had the same delima and finally tried Hornady Oneshot. Tilt your cases so that some of the spray goes in the neck ! It has no effect on powder or primers and works great. Be sure to: 1) Shake very well before using and 2) Let it sit after spraying for a minute or so. You can wipe it off with a paper towel after sizing. Best lube I have tried and I have tried many....Hope this helps...George

Ken, I wondered what happened to my tee shirt at the range the other day when I saw a 4x4 inch hole in it.

For neck sizing I use the Redding Imperial Application Media with Dry Neck Lube. Just stick the neck into the media, neck size and wipe off the neck.

For Body or FL sizing I use Hornady One Shot Case Sizing Wax. Normally I just put the wax on every 3rd or 4th shell which seems to work good. It seems to leave enough wax in the die to keep it lubed.

RCBS case lube ( CASE LUBE II) has worked well for me. I've worn 3 of their pads out since the 60's. Some complain it's messy. It is. Use sparingly as you roll the neck across the pad. Every 5th case or so I scoop a bit inside the neck. Maybe archaic, but I find it fits my needs.

I use a small shot glass with a bunch of very small ball bearings in it. I put in 50 gn or so of hBN and just stick the neck in and shake out any captive balls. Good to go!

+1 on the Imperial dry necklube in their media. No clean up, does not effect the powder. It reduces the drag on an expander a lot if you use one.
