Loose Primer pockets ??

It seemes I have read about a sweaging tool or something to use if you have brass with loose primer pockets. Is that what they are called? Does any one have any experience with them? Or know where to get them? Are they caliber specific?

Thanks

DL

they are not cal. specific,,,but they are ctg case dia specific ,,,call Robbie Hart at RW Hart and sons,,you will get all sorts of nay sayers ,,,,but I have seen this work,,,Roger

Don't waste your time with that POS, Robbie thought so little of his tool he didn't even harden it. It is so soft it will be junk in very short order. If you think you can fix it you can have mine. I called and asked the man a Harts what kind of steel it was made of so I could get a local heat treater to harden it and he told me no and hung up. this tool was designed to separate you from your money not fix brass.

Mine worked without fault until one day I noticed my case necks were looking an odd shape. I had bent the pin that went through the primer pocket causing the tool to off center every time I hit it and this in turn caused the necks to go out of shape as they hit the holding rod. The pin has a small grub screw on the side so that you can replace it if this happens, removing that grub screw is another matter altogether, and it's still in there even after heating it.

If they were available in the UK I would buy another.

Or switch to a different primer like wolf which take up the looseness.I have gone from Remington, cci and thenwolf to save my original nosler brass that was loose at the 3rd reloading.

Don't discount that Wolf primer tip. They are a bit larger than most other primers. Buy some, seat some and see.

As for fixing...buy new brass.
