Van Vick, and you did this all by yourself, I did not count the me and I words but it appeared to me you have sort of, pretty well thought this thing out, me? I wonder why you are having so much trouble with primer pockets opening up,, the bottom .125+ of my case heads, when sizing, is in the shell holder meaning the bottom .125 of the case head does not get sized.
When I measure the case head diameter it is for a reason, for the most part I want to know the effect the chamber had on the case, because, I off set the effect of the chamber with the case as in I form first then fire. If My primer pockets open up on the first, second or third firing I am overdoing ‘IT’ or I have soft brass.
Everything is relative, if my primer pocket opens-up, my flash hole opens-up and my case head increases in diameter, then it gets into BR and those that get 20 + firings out of one case, by the time a case is fired 20+ times I am told the case has stopped growing and is work hardened, and that brings up the other problem, what happens when a case head stops growing and then something goes wrong, will the case head experience cartographic failure.
