This load that i developed for this rifle appears to be working in the warner temps. Today i took it out and shot it @ 800 yards. The load is holding as well as i can. This load appears to be a keeper.

Shot it again today and used LC 2010 brass. Tested the load with the necks expanded and the shoots as good as the shooter can. I was glad to see that the load was working the warmer temps.
Glad to hear its holding up for you. Kinda stinks when you have to drop back and punt. Kicking around a 7tw for a Savage PTA I got laying around but am concerned about terminal performance because I shoot at critters(Small and Medium class) and not so much paper. Wish Hornady made a 90 grain A-Max because the 80 is my "Go-to" in .224 diameter.
Well I have tested this rifle a few times now. Using different brass and neck tensions. We have a 3X1000 next weekend and I will shoot it then. I think that I have it narrowed down as to how I wish have the brass set up.
Will be testing the load tomorrow at 1K.
Shot it in the last palma match, it shot good. I was pleased with the way it worked, there is another one next month that I will try it again.
Well moly'd bullet load is working, first time that I shot it in a palma match, it did pretty good at 1K, finishing up the string with a 148 and some X's. Though I feel that the load is working, I don't feel totally comphy with it yet. So I think that I will see if I can build a non-moly'd load for the rifle. If I can, I would rather not have to deal with moly'd bullets.

Tested some new loads today @ 600 yards. I would rather use a load without a moly'd bullet and today the load that appeared to be the best was 27.2 grs of 2000MR. I was able to get up to 27.7, which was the highest I loaded for the test. The 27.7 grs load shot without heavy bolt lift, but none of the loads held elevation as well as the 27.2 gr load.
Please remember that I have the bullet seated way out.
Also tested RL15 yesterday, 25.3 grs looked real good too!
I don't believe that the JBM is telling me the truth as to velocity though. From the 200 yard zero, I came up 9 moa and my first shot was a 10 at 6. The next two shots were a 9 at 12, in fact the third shot punched the spindle of the spotter out cleanly. Came down a half and started the test. So I shot the test 8.5 moa up from the 200 yard zero, according to the JBM, it is telling me that the bullet is going 3100 fps. Unless the bbl is a fast bbl, I don't see how it could be going that fast.
Maybe some of you guys could run the numbers and see what you would come up with.

Ah, you're assuming your scope adjustments are accurate which they very rarely are. A friend who has done many detailed scope tests over the years has found a 5-10% error is commoin even in top makes, although Sightron Series 3 target scopes tend to be much closer to the truth.
You either have to beg, borrow, or steal a chronograph or calibrate your scope adjustment values at the bottom of a large clean sheet or target frame by shooting a tight group off a rest at 100, then going up 30 or 40-MOA on the elevation turret and shooting a second group using the same aiming mark. 1-MOA = 1.047-inches at 100 yards, so a 30-MOA 'rise' should come out at 31.4 inches difference between group centres; 40-MOA at 41.9 inches. What you actually get is used to calibrate the scope's true adjustments. Using a plumb line on the target to draw a truly vertical line is also valuable as it lets you see how the line between the two group centres compares to a true vertical and therefore whether you have any cant in your scope mounting, as this also affects elevation adjustment accuracy.
External conditions, especially air pressure and temperature start to make a noticeable difference to trajectories at 600 yards. Are you inputting actual conditions to JBM as opposed to the default 'standard ballistic conditions' (59-deg F, 29.92-inches mercury air pressure, 0% humidity)?

Shot the 27.2 gr load of 2000MR @ 1K this afternoon, 200-9X. I think that I will stay with that load!

What is the base to ogive length? My bullets are seated at 10 in @ 2.0655.

Just double checked the OAL, it is 2.675. Let me ask, what kind of barrel are you using? Is it a four, five or a six groove barrel? I can tell that from cleaning my barrel, that it appears to be not tight bore. But from what my understanding is, the Berger 90's seem to like five groove bbl's.
Don't know if you have read through this whole thread or not, I am running a 7.2 twist barrel. My feeling is that you don't need a 6.5 twist for the Berger 90's in a bolt gun. Running that 6.5 twist may be where some of your pressure is coming from.
The new load shot good today, I think that the rifle likes to shoot better with a few rounds the barrel. After shooting today, the barrel had about 130 rounds on it without cleaning. Also cooked two rounds today at 2 minutes plus, there was no change in the elevation with the bullet from cooking the round. I am thinking that the 2000MR may not be bad after all in the heat.
